RAWALPINDI, March 6 (APP): The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), in collaboration with the Federal Ombudsperson Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (FOSPAH), organized an awareness session titled “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs through a Safe and Inclusive Workplace.”
The session was graced by Fauzia Viqar, Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace, who attended as the chief guest. She emphasized the importance of ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment for women across all sectors, noting that such measures are vital for enabling women entrepreneurs to thrive.
President RCCI Usman Shaukat welcomed the distinguished guest and highlighted the significance of effective mechanisms to address workplace harassment. He stressed that a secure and inclusive environment is essential not only for the empowerment of women entrepreneurs but also for the overall progress of the business community.
The session was also attended by Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, Vice President Fahad Barlas, former president Jalil Ahmed Malik, members of the executive committee, and other RCCI members. Their participation underscored the collective commitment of the chamber to fostering gender equality and supporting women-led businesses.
This initiative reflects RCCI’s dedication to promoting awareness, strengthening institutional support, and building a workplace culture where women entrepreneurs can contribute confidently and effectively to Pakistan’s economic growth.
