Thatta is being proud to be one of the historical, ancient cities situated 4 miles from Indus River in Sindh province, Pakistan. There are many tombs situated there in a piece of area and all these tombs have an excellent architect design. Mausoleums are divided further into major groups i.e. the Samma dynasty and Tarkhan having a period of 1325-1520 & 1461-1509 respectively. Tomb of Jam Nizamuddin is square in plane built beautifully. Other is the tomb of Essa Khan (who died in 1644) a two story building with glorious designs and carving which creates its own example especially the balcony.

Jam Nizamuddin Son of Jam Sadr Udn Bin Jam Umar was the most eminent and popular leader of Sama Dynasty. Jam Nizamuddin was born on 25th Rabiul Awal 1439 A.D in Thatta, ruled over Sindh and the other part of different provinces (1351 to 1551 CE). He was also called Jam Nanda. The power and the hold were reached at the top in the rule on Jam Nazimuddin (II) who is called a hero still today.

The shrine/sepulcher of Ruqayyah binte Ali is acknowledged as Bibi Pak Daman. Fables tell us that the mausoleum holds the crypts of six females from Muhammad’s PBUH ménage. These ladies include Ruqayyah binte Ali, who was the female spawn of Prophet Muhammad’s PBUH son-in-law and cousin Ali ibn Talib with his consort Umm-ul-Bannin binte Huzaam.
