History:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was founded on 25^th April 1996 in Lahore. The first central executive committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf was formed under the leadership of Imran Khan with his founding fellows like Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, Nazim Haji, Hamid Khan, Dr.Pervez Hassan, Abdul Hafeez Khan, Owais Ghani, Dr Abdul Mateen, and Dr Mohammad Farooq. It is the fastest growing political party in Pakistan, even though with little election success. Pakistan Tehreek Insaf has established itself as one of the country’s mainstream national parties mainly after 30^th October 2011 when over a hundred thousand people gathered in Lahore to support the party.

PTI claims to have over six million workers structure in Pakistan, popularly called “Insafiyans.” According to political analysts PTI has a significant vote bank in central, southern and western Punjab Khyber paktunkhwa, Baluchistan and Sindh. The Pakistan Tehreek Insaf claims to be only non-family party of mainstream Pakistan politics.

Pakistan Tehreek Insaf believes on modern Islamic republic welfare state (Islamic social State) serve to the people’s welfare through community’s cooperation. They also believe on political stability social hormone and justice and economic prosperity for all communities.PTI is providing a credible new leadership for restoration of Pakistan’s political and economic sovereignty through building a new bond of trust between the government and the people which is another stated goal of party, establishment of a strong accountability and anti-corruption system is also very important part the party’s agenda.
