Multan is the sacred city of Pakistan. The city is famous for the shrines, Masjids, and symbolic tombs of the Aulia Allah (The Saints). The ruin of Western areas of Iran was the reason of the migration of many religious families of these areas to the city of Multan in Pakistan that is known as Madina-Tul-Oliyah. Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria (RA) was born in a small village Kot Kehor of the District Liyyah in Multan in 1170 AD.
He belonged from Suharwardi Silsela (Order). He was a great preacher of Islam and for that holy purpose he went from one city to another city. He was settled in Multan in 1222 AD and continued his God gifted duty. Simply we can say the teaching of the Islam and truth. As the light spreads in the seconds, his learning about Islam reached all over the subcontinent and his follower increased to hundreds of thousand. This great personality, the pious man and the voice of the truth died in 1267AD and buried in Multan. He was also known as “Bahawal Haq”. The Shrine of Hazrat Bahuddin Zakria Multani (RA) The Shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria (RA) is situated near the fort of Multan and a unique symbol of architectural beauty. It was known as the excellent example of commemoration style that was very famous in the Multan in the 13th century. The design of the shrine is a Multi-cultural that represents Turkey and Afghanistan architecture. The shrine is constructed with simple bricks and garlanded with attractive and colorful stones artwork. The brick pillars are covered with wood frame. The pillars are capped with crescent Dom. The shrine of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria (RA) is very simple, but unique. The Spiritual aspects We called these personalities “The Wali Oliya” The persons that near Allah Almighty so it’s mean they are the devotees of Allah Almighty. The Noble Character of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria (RA) Quoting here a glimpse of the character of the blessed personality of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria, he was not welcomed by the some religious leaders of Multan at the time of arrival in the city. For proving that dislike they sent him a glass of milk that’s mean, there was no need of another sacred personality in the presence of the others. Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria understood the message and with smile he sent back this glass after dropping a roes in it. He knew the uniqueness of the rose and its aromatic quality, thus he wins the heart of the other religious leaders and like by the all. The Urs Celebrations The Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria is celebrated every year in the month of January. The participation of the followers of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria (RA) is uncountable. The people all around the Pakistan visited this religious iconic place with honor and dignity.
