Hazara nation is one of the unique nations of the world since they can be identified just by their unique facial features. Hazara nation men have flat forehead, tiny yet flat noses and their hair and eye brows are not that thick. They have fair complexion. In short you can say that most of their features resemble to Koreans and Chinese.

Many Stories exists about Hazara Nation’s History and each historian insists on his version.one of many versions says that When Changez Khan was conquering the world, he reached to Afghanistan; here he left one of his army battalion to have firm control over the newly conquered land. Later on he proceeded and the left behind battalion lived in Afghanistan forever. The same battalion in Afghanistan took name of HAZARA because in Changez Khan Army one Battalion used to be consisting of One thousand men and hence its name was HAZAR.Note that this version of Hazaras history is not the final one.There is another History version too,claiming that Hazaras were living in Afghanistan even before Changez Khan’s Invasion.The Bamiyan Budhas(The historic ones) were constructed by Hazara people reflecting thier own Physical appearance.The Budhas are thousands of years old.
How they reach Quetta?
Hazaras were spending their lives in Afghanistan but after cruel acts of Abdur Rehman the king of Afghanistan against Hazara on the basis of their Shia sect, they left Afghanistan (their native places in Afghanistan are Bamyan, Behsud and Hazarajaat, where there are many Hazara families living).They migrated to Quetta in British rule. The Hazaras are one of strong, warrier natured nation so the British Army picked up the best Hazara men to recruit them in British Army; hence a battalion was formed by the name of Hazara Pioneers in 1900 in Quetta. The Hazara Pioneers provedto be one of the best battalions in British army. It rescued many people and worked selflessly for the Quetta city in 1935 earthquake disaster. The railway tracks and tunnels of Baluchistan are also made by Hazara Pioneers which are still in great use. After celebrating the 25th birthday of Hazara pioneers it was dismissed. A large number of Hazara nation men were released who were experienced and equivalent to educated people due to depth of their knowledge and intelligence. These retired Hazara nation Army men then set up businesses, rise up their families and hence settled in Baluchistan with great grace hoping for the bright future.

This is the result of their education strategy that now education in Hazara nation is 91% .Its historic and brilliant that currently many Hazara personals both male and female are serving Pakistan in all walks of life mainly in Pak Armed forces, Civil Superior Services and Education. Pakistan feels proud upon many sacrifices Hazaras sons given in 1965, 1971 and Kargil war especially. They are loyal and proud Pakistanis.
Famous national Hazara Personalities:
- General Mohammad Musa Khan, He remained the COAS of Pakistan Army.1965 Indo-Pak war was fought under his command. It is his command and intelligence that Pakistan emerged as victorious army. General Mohammad Musa Khan also remained the Governor of Bengal Province (now Bangladesh).It was also the great General Mohammad Musa Khan who remained governor of Baluchistan after his retirement from Pakistan Army. His grandchildren are also serving Pakistan in various departments holding good posts.
- Air chief Marshal Sharbat Ali Changezi has served in Pakistan Air force and made it to the highest rank. He was the pilot who tested the newly bought fighter jets from France for Pakistan Air force. He is now retired and living in Karachi with his family.
- GD Pilot Saira Batool is one of the 4 females from through out Pakistan who were recruited as Female pilots in Pakistan Air force for the first time. That shows how brilliant and bright Hazara youth is, that a female made her dream come true being Pakistan air force GD pilot.
- Painter Shazia Batool, a disabled artist who got tamghai Imtaiz from Government of Pakistan upon achievements in Painting.ÂÂ
- Poet Mohsin Ali Changezi, a raising young man contributing to Urdu adab and his talent and achievements are recognized by Government of Pakistan he also owns tamghai Imtaiz.
